The Company
21st Century Dingo Productions operates as a newly formed artist-led cooperative, co-creating theatre, music and multi-disciplinary works. We create high quality, innovative, and socially responsible original art. Created on Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar, our work reflects an eclectic variety of forms, styles and experiences, and specialises in mobile works that can travel extensively to build inclusion and social impact across Australia and beyond. We especially enjoy the creative integration of digital and analogue art forms to enable flexibility and adaptability to places, spaces and audiences.
Previous Work
A Saucy Little Secret
Performed over four two-week sell-out seasons in WA, and two interstate presentations over four years, A Saucy Little Secret ran in festival seasons in Perth Fringe, Perth Winter Arts Festival, Melbourne Fringe and Melbourne Cabaret Festival.
The original theatre work followed the lives of five seminal queer ladies of the 19020’s Harlem Blues Scene - Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith, Gladys Bentley, Ethel Waters and Alberta Hunter. Performed by some of Perth’s most talented and influential jazz and blues singers, the show was warmly anticipated each year, with audiences coming back to experience it over multiple seasons.

Words Can Change The World - first live read 2022
This ‘first-read’ performance was created to test the developing work with a live audience, to garner feedback and input into its full realisation. This audience led co-creation approach to the theatre-making process presented an opportunity for the company to coalesce around the stories and lived experience of its audiences and peer creators.
Punctuated by original music by Melanie Bainbridge and string arrangements by Charles Hoernemann, this performance experience was staged at The Ellington Jazz Club for one night only, in August 2022.
